RStudio not working in Shinyproxy with no logs

I’ve been trying to update RStudio Server in the ShinyStudio project (https://github.com/fresh2dev/ShinyStudio). The original repo uses RStudio 3.6.1 and it works, however, when updating to a later version of rocker/rstudio (>=4.0.0) the following error message comes up:

shinyproxy-rstudio-error

I’ve looked for logs in the docker container folders, however, no error logs seem to be produced so can’t investigate this error further.

The docker log from the RStudio Server container is here:

Any help to solve this issue would be much appreciated :slight_smile:

I suppose this should be addressed at the ShinyStudio issues.

@leeroyaus

Here you can find the official way of running RStudio on ShinyProxy

This one will work.

Thanks for the responses. In the end it was an issue with www_root_path, which has been answered before:

I’m trying to keep the ShinyStudio architecture but I’m now using some of the settings used in openanalytics/shinyproxy-rstudio-ide-demo as well.

This type of set up is similar to what I’m looking to do, and uses the openanalytics/shinyproxy-rstudio-ide-demo image:
